This month sees the launch of www.ifloat.biz, a new technology, highly responsive, marine leisure products affiliate marketing site.
ifloatTM was born from the founders’ research experience into the sailing gear they needed to buy for an ocean voyage. They found the amount and consistency of product information was highly variable and affected their confidence that they were making good choices of the products on offer. They then set out to create a simple, straightforward and efficient knowledgeable resource to present manufacturer information with leading retailers’ product offers, to boaters and sailors.
Supported by an innovative technical design, all available manufacturer product data is put at the centre of the user experience. In addition to the powerful Find option, which acts on all the user data entered, there are over 300 property icon-enabled filters that give full control to the user over every piece of data they have in mind to find what they want. All measurements are seamlessly selectable in either Imperial or SI/metric systems (both are displayed) and for clothing, all manufacturer sizes can be directly ‘dialed up’ to show every item of that size instantly; no more size tables. Any product for sale can be found quickly and easily.
All products can be selected (without limit) for side-by-side differentiation, bought immediately, or stored for future purchase. For increased buying confidence, large detail product images are used (many in high-resolution size) so users can ‘visually touch’ the products and then access the available technical documentation and other supporting materials. Once ready to buy, the user is taken to the selected retailer site (the ifloatTM site including the find box and shopping list remain visible with seamless switching between sites) to pay and go.
There are many product types listed from over 200 leading brands including sailing and nautical clothes (includes fashion wear) from Musto, Gill, Henri Lloyd, Dubarry and more, chandlery from Barton Marine, Marlow Ropes, Crewsaver, Plastimo and more, complimented by books from Seafarer, Wiley Nautical and charts, maps and pilots from Imray, Adlard Coles and others plus nautical gifts and gift ware from Nauticalia.
With Tom Cunliffe as the current guest blogger offering his wit and wisdom and a growing range and depth of products, the ifloatTM team are working to deliver on this singular vision: find, buy, float.
